While Cameron has thrown his hat in the ring, fun88in.in West Indies (CWI) doesn't support his candidature for the top post in the global body.

Sharing his blueprint for world fun88, Cameron, who was fun88in.in West Indies head between 2013 and 2019, has proposed a longer IPL and wants all the T20 leagues to run concurrently like top tier football leagues like EPL, La Liga and Serie A, which start around same time.

"(Playing) Test fun88 should be a choice for smaller teams like Afghanistan and Ireland, it should not be mandatory," Cameron told PTI in an exclusive interview.

England's Colin Graves is seen as the front-runner for ICC Chairman's post and India's Sourav Ganguly could also be in the running. At least two votes from the ICC board are needed to run for Chairmanship and Cameron said he has secured that.

"I have those votes. I don't think it will change. I am still waiting to hear about Ganguly's future in the ICC. They have not finalised the election process yet," said Cameron.

Talking about his vision for world fun88, Cameron had a lot to say. "It is a vision which includes growing the game outside the subcontinent, we need to grow in China and other places. It is a plan that has to include India. Any globalisation will require investments from India (who generates 80 percent of the game's revenues).

"I see longer IPL, I see longer leagues in Australia and England. The most profitable events we have now are T20 leagues and we need to grow that, take them to places like the US and grow the opportunities to have more players to participate in those leagues and have less international fun88, leading to more profitability.

"This thing of trying to do more ICC events is not going to help the smaller countries because there is not enough space in the calendar."

Cameron said fans only want to see competitive fun88, which also has a lot more commercial value. "For example, a team like the West Indies plays less international games in a year but their players are able to play in the best leagues around the world and then they come to play for the country.

"That way players make more money, their board will not have to spend money on retaining its best players and we focus on continuous development of the sport with that money."

Asked if too much focus on the shortest format will kill ODIs and Test fun88, he said: "We are living in a capitalist world. We are trying to talk about tradition versus what the players want. The players want to be paid.

"Yes Test fun88 is great and it is a tradition and it will survive for another few years between the big countries (India, England, Australia) but the truth is smaller countries like Afghanistan and Ireland should not be forced to play Test fun88 until they can be competitive. You are wasting resources.

"Like women's fun88, they should play only ODIs and T20s."

Cameron feels the football model doesn't need to be followed blindly but fun88 can still learn a lot from it. "A lot of T20 leagues need to run concurrently, which is not happening now. Everybody wants to not clash with the other guys. The IPL needs to happen alongside BPL, CPL and Big Bash and the best players will get picked in the best leagues.

"There will be room for everyone including the Indian players who are unsold in the IPL. They have the opportunity to play elsewhere (if BCCI allows). One has to make a decision on tradition versus profitability."

Cameron also doesn't see commercial sense in the ongoing World Test Championship though he feels top nations can continue playing against each other. Another aspect of the game he wants reviewed is bilateral fun88.

"That has to change. Right now the host keeps all the revenues. A fee has to be negotiated for the visiting team depending on its quality. The series which just finished in England, West Indies fun88 did not earn a penny. That doesn't make commercial sense."

He was also not surprised when the T20 World Cup was postponed, making way for the IPL in the same window. "The IPL is way more valuable product than the T20 World Cup. Let's be very clear about that.

"India will make a lot more money and so will the players. The players themselves would prefer playing in IPL than the World Cup," he added.

"He was suffering from heart-related ailments and was admitted to a hospital in April. Early this morning he suffered a cardiac arrest and breathed his last," a family source told PTI.

"Deepest condolences to his family. Pray to Almighty for his soul's eternal peace." Ganguly's father had put him under Mustafi in his formative years as he took his early cricketing lessons along with his childhood friend Sanjay Das in the mid-1980s.

"He was not only our Sir but a friend, philosopher and guide. Sourav and I spent about six years under his coaching. Your first coach is always special and we had the special bonding. Whenever we had any doubts, he was there to offer his guidance," Das said.

"My heartfelt condolences to his family. It's a big blow to all of us. He will be missed by the entire cricketing fraternity. May his soul rest in peace," Das, who is also the tour and fixture committee member of the CAB, added.

Last month Mustafi's condition had deteriorated and Ganguly along with Das made all the arrangements for his treatment. In 1992, Mustafi joined Howrah Union before associating himself with a coaching centre near his residence in Salt Lake.

MPCA committee questions appointment of Pandit as coach after four months of decision

The Madhya Pradesh fun88in.in Association (MPCA) fun88 committee comprising Yogesh Golwalkar, Prashant Dwivedi and Murtaza Ali had on Wednesday claimed that it was kept in the dark about Pandit's appointment.

"It is asserted that the fun88in.in Committee had itself proposed the name of Chandrakant Pandit. Members of the fun88in.in Committee had interacted with Pandit before his appointment," MPCA secretary Sanjeev Rao said in a media release.

"The statement (of the fun88in.in Committee) is completely devoid of facts and is hence causing deep dent to the reputation of Chandrakant Pandit, as also MPCA.

"Hence, after such elaborate consultation before the appointment of Pandit, it is a mystery as to why the fun88in.in Committee has only recently started withdrawing from their committed stance," the secretary said.

The secretary also lashed out at the fun88in.in Committee members saying, "repeated efforts are being made to suggest that the office bearers of MPCA are encroaching onto the functions of the fun88in.in Committee, which is not only baseless but also mischievous and aimed at vitiating the atmosphere."

"While the MPCA is working to improve fun88, the working conditions of coaches, assistant coaches and others, some vested interests with nefarious designs are trying to play dirty politics with an aim to harm fun88 in MP. MPCA will not allow this at any cost," the said.

Pandit is one of the most successful domestic coaches in India.

A jumbo Indian squad might start their training in earnest after IPL once they reach Australia. The BCCI is not going to organise the training camp of India cricketers before IPL as it was being reported earlier.

The window to conduct the IPL 2020 came as a massive relief for the BCCI after they were forced to postpone the tournament indefinitely in last May owing to the pandemic. The officials had said the cancellation of the tournament could lead to a heavy financial loss in the tune of Rs 4000 crore.

The Kolkata Knight Riders have a strong unit filled with players who can make high impact in the T20 version. The two West Indians are their pillars of strength - Andre Russell and Sunil Narine. And they can make a difference with both bat and ball. Captain Karthik himself is a batsman with lot of chutzpah and then they have England captain Eoin Morgan. In white ball formats, Morgan is a real enforcer. They now also have new sensation from England Tom Banton too in the batting line-up along with Shubman Gill.
